Leading Edge Gladstone Hi-Fi has proudly served the local community since 1996. Our journey began in 1990 with our first Dick Smith Electronics store in Innisfail, North Queensland, before relocating to Gladstone in September 1996 and establishing Gladstone Hi-Fi.
Rapid growth saw us move in 2000 to our current corner location on Tank and Auckland Streets, offering a 160m² showroom with off-street parking. In 2004, we became a foundation member of Leading Edge Electronics, enabling us to offer a wider range of trusted brands at competitive prices, backed by genuine local service.
In 2007 we expanded into the store next door, to create a dedicated Hi-Fi and Home theatre showroom. It offers full working displays & a theatre room to offer you the complete look, feel and listening experience of being in a home environment. This gave us room to showcase reputable brands like Yamaha, Denon, Marantz, Bowers & Wilkins - just to name a few.
During this time we created our own website to help customers research products and shop after hours, reaching customers from all over Australia and while it doesn't have our entire product range yet, it does have most of the 12300+ product lines we stock.
We pride ourselves on having a qualified, well-trained team dedicated to helping customers find solutions for their everyday technology needs, using quality brands at competitive prices. This commitment has been recognised over the years with several awards, including General Manager’s Awards, Rising Star, Stockist of the Year, GCCI Business Award nominations, and consistent 100% results in Mystery Shopper surveys.
Today, our range of stocked products is diverse and tailored to suit the needs and interests of our local community. It includes computer products and accessories, consumer electronics, metal detectors, communications equipment such as phones and UHF radios, hobbies, home audio and visual products, toys, security solutions, personal audio, 3D printing, DJI drones, GoPro cameras, along with a wide range of cables, adapters and accessories.
We'd like to thank our customers for their support, because without you, we wouldn’t have lasted this long in Gladstone and survived all the evolutions the large chain stores keep throwing at us.
