If you need to switch mains voltages, say from a micro’s out- put or any other low voltage source, you need to isolate them from each other. That’s what this project does – it’s easy to build and keeps mains voltages locked away from the controller and you! Virtually any low voltage source will do – from 2.7 to 10V.
