When this motion sensor module is used in projects it can detect motion based on changes in infrared light in the environment. It is ideal to detect if a human has moved in or out of the sensor range. An LED will light up when movement is detected. This makes the module a great addition to security application projects.
The module features an operating voltage of 5v to 20v. The delay time can be adjusted from 5 to 200 seconds, the sensing range can range from 3 to 7 meters. When a motion is detected, the sensor will issue a high level of 3.3V and then resume or continue to send a 0 voltage when no motion is detected. If you use micro controllers, you can use a 3.3 volt power supply to power the sensor or use a 5 volt supply pin (vcc) to power the sensor.
