This Balanced Microphone/Line Pre Amplifier accepts either a microphone or line input for conversion to a balanced high level signal. Mic input is via a balanced XLR whilst the line input is via 2 x RCA sockets or 3.5mm jack.
The 3V output signal is carried via Cat5e cable (suitable for distribution up to 300m without interference) to the A 4928 line output box (or other Redback UTP compatible product) which provides a balanced high or low level output and an unbalanced Aux output signal to be fed into an amplifier. Power is provided through the Cat5e cable connection. A 24V DC switched output (limited to 120mA current draw) is available to activate when the VOX output of the pre-amplifier is active.
Use with Redback A4432
When used with A4432 it provides a means of overriding the input to a zone with a local input source located in that zone. An example may be a mobile phone for background music or a microphone for speeches at a wedding function. Both the wall plate and box have connections for a 3 pin XLR microphone, dual RCA line level input and a 3.5mm line level input for portable devices.
Part of the Redback UTP Solutions Range.
This product is part of the Redback UTP solutions range, a suite of interchangeable transmitters and receivers for connecting different types of audio signals between local zones and equipment racks.
